Oliver's Top 10 Favourite Things

In no particular order:

1. His 'Poo of Power' at approx 3pm every day. We are told to wait outside the toilet and not look at him for around 10 minutes while he contemplates life sitting on the bog. I am tempted to supply newspapers and/or other reading material.

2. Cutting up paper with his safety scissors.

3. Listening to 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson for the entire 700 mile round trip to Cornwall. It is a 6 minute CD.

4. Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder and all forms of transport. He keeps asking when we are getting on the plane to see Po in Australia.

5.He is into deciding he 'loves' things or people at the moment. Recent examples include loving golf, Debs (his music teacher) and potatoes (he hates potatoes).

6. His brother Pippy. His "sweetheart" and "gorgeous" brother Pippy.

7. Being nude. A lot.

8. Telling Mama to "remember the deal, remember the deal" when eating his dinner. The deal was Thomas yoghurts in return for eating his vegetables. He is becoming increasingly frightening in his negotiating skills and, interestingly, he rarely gets his Thomas yoghurts as he and I are both as stubborn as each other; neither willing to give in.

9. Taking things off Pippy. Just because he can.

10. Plums. He is known as the 'Plum Boy' by John at the local grocers as he comes in on such a regular basis to buy plums. There are two little boys known at the local grocers - Oliver and the 'carrot boy'. He starts asking for plums the moment we go on the route past the grocers, whether in the car or on foot.
