Waverley Abbey on Friday
We went to Waverley Abbey nearby with Luca, baby Mia and Emma today. Glorious, glorious weather and the boys ran amongst the ruins of the Abbey for hours whilst we cooed over Mia and Pip ate hummus.
Built in 1128 we're not sure if the tree the boys climbed was planted around the same time judging by the incredible above ground root system. So beautiful.
Topped off by a beer at nearby Elstead Mill where Luca pointed out the picture of the "olden days" (circa 1989 for him I'm sure), this Friday was one of the best yet.
