Classic Pip Quotes
"Piggle feeling fine"
On going to bed and worrying that since everyone else is feeling sick, Piggle should suffer no such indignity.

A long week
I've been amazed (and disappointed) by a few things this past week. It's been an, er, interesting one.
Mainly disappointed in the fact I fell first to a suspected oink oink illness. Not entirely sure if I've actually got it or had it, but I felt very rotten for nearly two days with aching joints and throat complete with razor blades. Jeff kindly got me some Tamiflu as I didn't want to miss out on being part of the pandemic. Fuel the fires I say.... But now Jeff is laid up with virtually the same symptoms feeling sorry for himself, so things are looking up yet.
But I'm amazed by the fact that the children haven't succumbed *yet*. Pip even has worms and is virtually bouncing off the walls every minute of the day. We imagine because he gets to eat unlimited amounts of food with a reason. For us, worms is not such a delight because the entire family has to be wormed now and we have to wash every item of linen and underwear at a tepid 90 degrees. So to top off feeling lovely Jeff and I have slowly worked out way through that and are almost at the point taking daily worship for our tumble dryer it's been so helpful.
Pip has also started to ask 'why'. Even more than Oliver. For the first five minutes this was endearing, then it struck us fairly quickly that he didn't understand the really basic answers we were giving to amuse ourselves and would just repeat 'why' continually until we said 'because' upon which he would say 'cos' and roll his eyes in only the way that Pippy can. You can see where that went then.
He has also become very attached to a soft toy of Igglepiggle from In the Night Garden. Odd considering he's going to be two in November, but nothing will separate him from 'Piggle'. He sleeps with him, wanders round the house with him, has to go out with him. It is filthy and I have had to hunt high and low for a replacement Piggle or Piggle 2 if you like. He predictably gets upset when anyone tries to cuddle Piggle and spends much of his time feeding and kissing Piggle, worrying about where Piggle's blanket is (amateur mistake by manufacturer by attaching blanket to toy with velcro. Duh.) and getting Piggle and Piggle 2 to have conversations that consist of saying "hello" "fine" "bye" to each other.

Me and my Piggles

A whole lot of Piggle love.
It's been a much needed up in a week full of aches and pains! Roll on the weekend.
