Classic Oliver Quotes

Oliver (sitting in the bath contemplatively): Dada, was Mama in your tummy when she was a baby?
Dada: No, Mama was in Nonna's tummy when she was a baby.
Oliver: Why?
Dada: Because Nonna is Mama's mama. And babies are only ever in women's tummies, not men's. So dad can't have had a baby in his tummy.
Oliver looks to the side for a moment, apparently deep in thought, then looks up at Dada and says "Cupboards don't go in baths".

Mama's first race!

Mama competed in her first ever running race this weekend. Hilarious as she's only just started running and had a very low level of fitness to work from. Amazing biceps from picking up 20kgs of children, do not a cardiovascular fit person make.

So since her local running group run this event at Alice Holt and it's a hilly off road 10k race, Mama thought it best to start here. Hmmm. Somehow she managed to run all way up and down all the sodding hills in a minute over the hour. The only downer was the kids couldn't be persuaded to meet her at the finish line as the swings at the park were too tempting.

The bug has been caught, however, and she's booked in for the Stubbington 10k in January.

The start

The finish

Unofficial time (doesn't take into account waiting for more fit people to start race in front of me)
