Classic Pip quotes

Pip:  Mama can I have a chocolate
Mama: No, it's 8am love.
Pip: But I want a chocolate.
Mama: It's still 8am.   You can have a chocolate when you go the cinema later.  If you eat one now then it's no chocolates at the cinema.

Tantrum ensues.

Not so long later....

Oliver: Mama, pip's just eaten a chocolate
Mama: Did you eat a chocolate Pip?
Pip: No.
Mama: Really?  What's that round your mouth then?
Pip: chocolate.
Mama: Okay I did say.  No chocolate today then.

Bigger tantrum ensues.   During tantrum Pip runs gauntlet of barbs aimed at trying to change Mama's mind.  It doesn't work.  Here is a small example of what came out.

Pip: You're hurting my feelings.
Pip: I'm going to get Dada to ring the policeman to tell him how mean you're being to me.
Pip: The chocolate was mouldy.  That's why I ate it.
Pip: Oliver actually ate the chocolate.

Needless to say, he didn't get any chocolate today.

Ol leaving home

Oliver is worried about leaving home.  At the age of 6.  He has a sneaking suspicion that we are trying to evict him.  Why we're not sure...

It may have stemmed from an innocent conversation days ago about going to university or when he leaves home to have a family of his own.  Ol took this to heart and has been pondering on it since.

He was inconsolable tonight not able to go to sleep as he didn't want to leave home.  Then he got worried that he'd forget he didn't want to leave home.

In the end, the only way to calm him was to promise I would go to my computer and put in a reminder in a years time to remind him not to leave home.  He went to sleep eventually.

Halloween 2012

Spooky Wednesday hit town today.  Up and down the street we went, not having a clue to shout 'trick or treat' when the door was opened and came home slightly soggy.

Many compliments were given on our hungover pumpkin.  And return compliments were given for some fantastic costumes.  The glow in the dark mummies shirt were a massive hit for the boys.  Thanks Nonna!
