Bub-og-a-ning

Neither Oliver or Pip can say tobogganing properly so it is now bub-og-a-ning in our house.

We ventured down to the park at the end of the street to see the amazing igloo the local under 10 year olds (!) built yesterday; followed by a very short spell of bub-og-a-ning before the boys collasped in a heap of blubbering ice and tears due to too many fallings over.

Then to more inside antics with all the kids on the street. I don't think they've ever eaten so well and had so much entertainment in a short space of time.

Snowmen, nomen

This is what happens when you leave children in charge of building a snowman.  It looks a little dodgy.

Classic Oliver Quotes

"Mama, why is the snow still here?"
Could you imagine him saying this if he was 7 and off school for the week?!

And the morning after that...

We had icicles!

One cold New Years Day...

Oliver just came into the room like this.  He'd dressed himself.  So, what to do now?

Ah yes, grab the bike.

And the backpack.  Obviously.

Classic Oliver Quotes

Oliver: Ooowwww
Mama: What's wrong Ol?
Oliver: I hurt myself right there (pointing to finger)
Mama: Sorry love, how did that happen?
Oliver: I hit that instead of Pip (the balustrade)

Classic Pip Quotes

"Nice to see you on my room on the broom. I'll be back on Sunday"
Whilst racing around the kitchen on his broom. He is a little boy obsessed with all things witchey.

A day trip

Pip and I went to Woking yesterday. We had plans that were cancelled so what were we to do?

What any other 2 year would want to do. A ride on the train, escalators and lifts. And a pannini in Cafe Nero. Mama was happy as she got to go into TKMaxx (note use of 'go into', and not shop) and have the best coffee she's had yet. Not so happy she had to pay 7.25 for the pleasure of a 20 minute train ride and be told her discount card didn't work in the week. Since when?!!!

It was really nice to spend quality time with Pip though and to see just how excited he could get at going on 2 trains and sit on Woking station for 10 mintues to see the many, many trains passing through. The lady from Aldershot sitting opposite us thought the whole thing was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing.

Classic Pip Quotes

"My gorgeous Mama, my gorgeous Mama"
(whilst hugging me on the train to Woking today)

Needless to say I cried a little.

Dragon painting

This is the face the dragon in the painting was pulling apparently.  Oliver was very clear on this.
