Royal Wedding Weekend Part 3
Spur of the moment decision to go to London to see the flowers at Westminster Abbey led to a very early train journey (7.30am) for Mama and Nonna and Big G had the pleasure of the boys all to himself!
Amazingly there weren't hordes of people by the time we arrived and although we queued, it was only for about 20 minutes and it passed quickly in the excitement of the occasion.
Parting with our 16 quid (ouch) we spent ages touring round the Abbey, seeing the bouquet and clambering through hordes of 'ladies of a certain age' standing at the altar where they got married.
It was magical (and you know me, I'm no great Royalist!) and I'm so pleased we went. Just to see that itty, bitty of history.

Queuing as every good Brit does so well.
THE bouquet. It was tiny and very beautiful. Just sitting there on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Amazing.
Lilly of the Valley. Apparently when the Abbey was empty you could still smell the flowers.
Blurry photos as taken very sneakily!

The seat where they took their vows and sat next to the Nuns that must have been on security detail.

It being a Drinkwater day out, there had to be cake involved. A vintage French patisserie to be exact. Yum.
